Cornucopia Cumbria

14th-21st July 2012:

I was looking forward to having a holiday that actually lasted a whole week – but little did I expect to come back with some the most fantastic shots I think I’ve ever taken!

I was staying in a National Trust cottage called Low Hallgarth (http://www.nationaltrustcottages.co.uk/cottage/low-hallgarth-009003/) near Little Langdale. It was fantastic to be somewhere so remote with so much fascinatingly beautiful scenery and nature to be engrossed by…

I Spent a day around Coniston, getting to know Ruskin a little better…

Had adventures in caves and found a Dor Beetle (Geotrupes stercorarius‏)…

Explored the impact of man and nature:

And experienced the most stunning sunrise…

I’d been getting up early every morning in hope of a good one so was quite relieved when I was treated to this – although slightly annoyed it had held out on me until my last day!
